Rodney Atkins
Friday, September 19, 2008 at 8:00 p.m.
Country music’s Rodney Atkins captures every aspect of his life in his music. Since his debut album in 2003, Rodney has believed that country music is about life. “It’s about what people face every day. That’s what they want to hear in country music. And that’s what I draw on, what brought me here, every time I sing.”
His current album, “If You’re Going Through Hell,” Rodney explores many of the topics of life. With hit songs including, “If You’re Going Through Hell,” “Watching You” and “Cleaning This Gun,” he has proven the country music fans agree. With the hit “These are My People,” Rodney carries us to his past where he “grew up by the railroad tracks and shooting BBs at old beer cans.” Even with all of his recent country music nominations and success, he is still most comfortable in a John Deere t-shirt, jeans and work boots with a wild turkey or deer in his front yard.
Tickets $20-$35
